Narekatsi is a premium red wine from Ijevan Wine Brandy Factory, created in tribute to Grigor Narekatsi. It is presented in a wooden gift box inspired by the Narekatsi legend, where his whip was said to become an evergreen juniper tree.

 

Made from indigenous Areni grapes grown in Aghavnadzor, Vayots Dzor, at elevations of 1,500–1,800 meters, this wine is produced under close vineyard management for high fruit quality. To enhance concentration, 30% of the grape clusters are removed before ripening.

 

Deep ruby in color, Narekatsi shows a smooth texture, silky tannins, and a long finish, with notes of ripe cherry, black cherry, and dark berries.

 

The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted, then aged for 12 months in new 225L oak barrels. The wine is bottled unfiltered and rested for an additional six months to build further depth and character.
